SMT Specialist

Description

This is a part-time on-site role as an SMT Specialist at River Microelectronics in Thousand Oaks, CA. Your day-to-day tasks will involve operating and maintaining SMT machines to assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards. You will ensure the quality and efficiency of the assembly process.

Education

High School Diploma

Experience
  • 3 years in a manufacturing environment
  • 3 years experience with SMT machine operation
Requirements
  • experience operating SMT machines and familiarity with electronic component assembly processes
  • strong understanding of the PCB assembly process
  • perform SMT machine setup and runs
  • attention to detail and ability to follow assembly instructions accurately
  • read and interpret BOM, set up list, assembly drawings
  • identify electronic component's type, p/n, values, etc
  • knowledge of quality control procedures and troubleshooting common assembly issues
  • strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • document and report material and equipment issues
  • communicate any changes in production status
  • implement root cause analysis on defects and provide effective corrective and preventive actions
  • monitor quality of work and compliance with process and product specifications
  • monitor the work of individuals to ensure the quality of work
  • maintain logs of completed work
  • understand and adhere to all safety procedures
  • follow company policies and departmental processes and procedures
